Abstract

Author(s): Fatma KETHUDAOĞLU

Seaport logistics system have three interrelated major components namely, production, market and distribution. These three parts should work altogether as effective as possible to obtain two main objectives at the same time. To increase the customer satisfaction in one side and to maximizate of producer profit in the other side. There can be considered three players in the seaport logistics system; port administrators, carriers and domestic shipper. The port administrators in this paper are treated as a player who presents his port administrators policy in order to get as many vessels as possible. The carrier intends to maximize his revenue from international container cargo transportation providing liner service. The shipper aim to reduce the total logistics costs as possible. In the study, vertical relations between heterogeneous players and horizontal relations between homogeneous players are investigated using a game theoretic approach.
