This paper aims to examin e how conservative youth construct their identities through the dichotomy between tradition and modernity. In this context, how youth create their daily life, within the conceptual framework of fashion, gender and free time, as connecting traditional and modern motifs will be analyzed. The text is constituted by the sharing of four instagram users (two women and two men) and their followers’ comments. The sample is formed by the conservative users aged twenty to thirty and followed by over fifty thousand instagram users. As method, semiotic and social semiotic analyses, to complement each other, are used.
