Humankind who is in a struggle for explanation of the life and life experiences, continually try to find a solution to express the their thoughts. These thoughts can be on deep philosophical or psychological notions. But these thoughts can be on foods which is perceived simply and superficially perceived too. The foods or beverages that is underestimated by people may have different meanings for people. Although people show no interest in food meanings during the meal break, there is a strong bond that is based on memories and experiences between food and people. These relationship generally can't embody in daily life. It comes into existence with cultural identy. The foods come into prominence in culture with the universal consent of food symbols. During the preparing phases, Food is not only go through a physical process or chemical process but also a psychological process. In this process, human try to attribute a meaning to foods. The ideas are embody by symbols. Symbols affect to the food choices, food experiences and cuisine culture. "besides the flavor and appearance of food, as well as the meaning of food is the important too" is the main idea of this study. To this end was interviewed to 25 people by the researchers in order to determine the symbolic meanings of some gastronomic items. The data obtained were evaluated with the MAXQDA 18.2 programme. The perceptions of customer were examined through the findings.
