In this study, the focus on is Halide Edib’s opinions on the qualification of the teaching profession rather than on her well-known reputation as a literary figure in our country. She had been occupied as a teacher of pedagogy and history at the Woman Teacher Training School in Ottoman Empire When She translated Horn’s Book and stated her opinions on the qualification of the teaching profession. It has been witnessed that her opinions have still been valid in the present approach to education.
