In classical Turkish poetry, historical poetry have been written in every field of life based on the calculation of ebced. Historical poetry that shed light on personal and social life are considered among the bedi’ arts in literary art classifications. In the tradition of divan poetry, gazal, kaside and mesnevi are written in verse forms, but they are mostly written in k?t’a. The historical poetry, which are not known when and how they started, illuminate the socio-cultural aspect of an era with its contents and interdisciplinary characteristics. History reduction, began to develop in classical Turkish literatüre from XIV. century.The best examples were given by poets such as Bursal? Ha?imi, Osman Sururi and Antepli Ayni. This study is based on historical poetry in the divan of XIX. century divan poet Enderunlu Recaizade Mustafa Samil Efendi is discussed. Mustafa Sâmil Bey wrote 19 historical poetry in 12 k?t’a, 3 murabba, 1 m?sra, 2 beyit and 1 kaside. We can consider these verses under the headings of kudum, cülus, congratulations, death, birth and personal life. Samil Bey's history poems, 4 of the arrive of praised, 1 of the prince's throne, 6 of the congratulations of various events, 6 of death, 1 of the birth and 1 is about personal life. In this study, firstly, information about historical poetry and Sâmil will be given. Then 19 historical poems will be examined in terms of form and content. At the end of the article, the transcribed text of these poetry will be presented for the benefit of the field
