In this study, first we will work on the traditional and functional conceptions of morphology. Next, we’ll study the domains in relation to the morphology, such as monematics, synthematics and syntax. Then we will present a few principal factors of the morphological variation such as the phonetical context, lexical conditioning and grammatical conditioning. At this section, in order to explain the phonetical context, we will talk about the Turkish vowel harmony, as well as the vowel and consonant systems of Turkish language. To be able to explain the grammatical conditioning, we will emphasise on the subjunctive and relative pronoun in French language. Finally, we will examine various morphological elements like the “kind”, the “number” and the “gender”.
