Ibn Khald?n is regarded as the most important representative of the view that compared the society with a living organism in Islamic world. According to him, societies are born, develop and when they reach to a stable point, their developments stop. After this phase, the society begins to regress slowly and become a subject to the death as an eventual end. Kâtip Çelebi, Mustafa Na’îmâ and K?nal?zâde Ali Effendi are the important theorists of the Ottoman political thought who are highly affected from Ibn Khald?n. These three thinkers resort to some views which are qualified as Ibn Khald?nist in the framework of their works. They tried to explain the essential elements of the society and the relation between ruler and and being ruled by this theory. In this work, Kâtip Çelebi, Mustafa Na’îmâ and K?nal?zâde Ali Effendi’s political and social theories shall be debated in the context of Ibn Khald?nist opinions which are important for the Ottoman political thought.
