The advent of social media has significantly altered the landscape of information dissemination, including in the field of surgical research. This article explores how social media platforms impact the spread of traditional surgical research findings. It examines the advantages and challenges posed by social media in promoting and disseminating surgical research, assesses the role of various platforms in reaching diverse audiences, and discusses the implications for researchers, practitioners, and patients. The findings suggest that while social media enhances visibility and engagement, it also presents challenges related to information accuracy and professional credibility.
