It’s seen that the painting art at the beginning of the 20. Century left the traditional methods and began to draw anew road map. The age which is called new age is the industry age. The fact that abandonment about totally imitation of nature which begins with the Impressionist process, and then tends to the division of the object in Cubism. The new finds of the modern era sees canvases an object and combines them with material. The new possibilities emerge on canvas which was combined with material. Then with the intervention of the three-dimensional material to the canvas opens the idea of opening up the space of painting art. This process, which started with cubism, continues to carry on with the effects that are based on today's installations. In the first part of the study, as a result of the shredding images and carrying the objects on the canvas in Cubism period, it will be examined the autonomy of the canvas, and then the intervention of the three dimensional object will be investigated.
