The purpose of this study is to reveal the impact of job satisfaction on occupational burnout of primary school teachers who work in formal educational institutions located in Afyonkarahisar city center by using suggested research model. For this purpose, in 2014-2015 academic year scales form have been applied to the 385 teachers who work in various elemantary schools. Teachers were obtained by simple random sampling method. In analyzing the data, in order to reveal the impact of teachers’ job satisfaction on their occupational burnout and to evalute the fit of the model Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used. Additionally, in order to reveal the relationship between teachers’ job satisfaction and the independent variables which contain teaching profession, working environment and teachers’ ideas about education system CHAID analysis was applied. As a result of Structural Equation Model analysis, internal and external job satisfaction negatively affect the emotional burnout and desensitization, and positively affect to the personal accomplishment which are sub dimensions of burnout. According to result of CHAID analysis, the most important variable which affects teachers’ job satisfaction is found as to be appreciated by superior.
