Violence is increasing every day in the world and our country. Nurses have important roles for struggle with violence. But firstly these are necessary that nurses' developed problem solving abilities, awareness of their own violence tendency and struggle with it. So this research was planned to investigate violence tendency and effective factors of nursing students that are future members of the nursing profession. This descriptive and cross- sectional research was conducted with 200 nursingstudents who educated in Ege University Faculty of Nursing between April-June 2013. Socio- demographic features form, violence experience form and Violence Tendecy Scale were used for collecting data. According to findings it wasfound that most of the nursing students have low level violence tendency. Gender, having their own rooms, violent behaviours, exposed to violence and person that used violence are found as the effective factors. Cultural aspects were thought as the reason of this violence tendency.
