Excistential theraphy is based on existential philosophy which is dealing with human beings and human existence. The therapist encourages the client to find meaning and purpose of him. In this research, it is aim to explain fundamental concepts of excistential theraphy and to examine some part of the novel “Martin Eden” starting from this concepts. In this aim direction, concepts of the excistential theraphy which are being in world, life, death, freedom, responsibility, choise, isolation, love, meaning, meaninglessness, self-transcendence and individuality are explained and given place to the sections which are linked with these concepts in the novel “Martin Eden”. Within the scope of the research, effort to be a writer for come up to the woman who Martin, hero of the novel, fall in love is evaluated as his be aware of the existence and improve his life. The feeling of meaninglessness, loneliness and break from the world that resulted in Martin’s suicide has been described as isolation and existential emptiness. As a result, it is observed that the novel “Martin Eden” is linked with many concepts of excistential theraphy.
