Magna Carta is a legal document sealed by the English Monarch in 1215. Magna Carta, celebrated for 800th anniversary in 2015 was credited for teaching kings to respect the rules of law. However many more important events were realized in the beginning of the years of 1200 when Magna Carta was declared. For instance in the period named as Twelfth-century Renaissance, the impact of Andalusian Almohad over Europe can be discussed. Recently scholars study the impact of transferring of the East Islamic opinions through the West by way of Andalusian culture and the crusades. It is emphasized that more realistic evaluations can be provided by analyzing the chronology, context and causation of the events in historical researches. When the entities around the period of declaration of Magna Carta are investigated by this view, some cases such as heresy concept in Europe, the teachings of Latin Catholic Church, pope Innocent III, the third and and the fourth crusades and inquisition applications to Andalusia and Albi heretics, Averroism and the life of the emperor Friedrick, the second come out. Regarding some articles published about Magna Carta and those historical entities, it is understood that the religious authorities forced the kings to sign Magna Carta. In this point, Magna Carta is not a secular document, yet it gives no message about people freedom.
