Metaphor is considered an important artistry which is part of thr science of Rhetoric. Although it is confused
with the eloquent simile, since they are both based on making an analog yor comparison, often differs from a simile
when one of the two compared sides is deleted in the sentence. In this article has been studied in order to analyze the
concept of metaphor, which is discussed in the science of Rhetoric. Metaphor is a sub-unit of classical rhetoric and is
generally used as a synonym for ‘Antonomasia’. Attempts to investigate what is really meant by Metaphor and its
relation to the sciense of Rhetoric and other crafts.
?n this study, in addition to exposing their various types, the differences and similarities, between Metaphor And
Antonomasia have been thoroughly investigated.
