IZMIRS STRUGGLE AGAINT MALARIA DURING THE WORLD WAR II

From Seljuks period to the collepse of the Ottoman Empire’s malaria epidemic has had a major influence on Anatoia betweenwhile. Malaria continued to spread throughout Anatolia during The First World War and National Straggle Period. At the time of Turkish Recublican, especially conditions in The Anatolia during World War II were harsh, malaria, was rampant among people. Many people died of malaria between 1940-45. In the 1940’s malaria was a problem in the zmir and in its environment. In this paper we summarize precautions which were taken in zmir during World War II.
