Imam al-Juwayni is one of the important personalities of the history of Islamic thought. He lived in the last quarter of Abbasid Empire. He is one of the most important representatives of alAsh’ari kalam. His impact on the development of al-Ash’ari kalam and Islamic political thought as well as his contribution on the creation of the understanding of Caliphate are significant. al-Juwayniis one of the scholars of kalam who have produced valuable works on caliphate and politics. His efforts to propose solutions, by depending on theological point of view, for the political problems of his time, are worth to investigate. In this article we are dealing with the main futures of his understanding of caliphate and his “G?yasu’l-Umam model” as solut?on project for the crisis of presidency
