Starting from the second part of the XXth century, contemporary french theater playwrights are proposing texts based on new theatrical form. The aim of this study is to present and evaluate the function of didascalic texts of playwrights such as EugèneIonesco, Samuel Beckett, MargueriteDuras and Bernard-Marie Koltès. Through the presence of didascalic texts we will try to underline the potentiality of the question of representation in stage.
