LEADERSHIP AND AUTHORITY CHARACTERISTICS OF EMPLOYEES IN VARIOUS POSITIONS WORKING IN KAYSERI PROVINCIAL DIRECTORATE OF YOUTH AND SPORTS AND KAYSERI SPOR AS

The universe of the research consists of employees in various positions working in Kayseri Youth and Provincial Sports Directorate and Kayseri Spor A?. The study group of the research consisted of 163 employees such as trainers, supervisors and managers working in these institutions. Descriptive survey method was used in the research. A leadership and authority scale consisting of 29 items developed by Tabak et al. (2013) was applied. The scores of the participants participating in the study from the scale; frequency, arithmetic mean, percentage, standard deviation, independent sample t-test for binary variables, one-way analysis of variance for multiple variables were applied. Tukey test was applied to determine which variable favored the difference. A significant difference was found between the participants' authority and leadership and gender variables in favor of men. However, it can be said that the averages of Kayseri GHSGM are higher than Kayseri Spor A?. We can say that the difference between leadership and authority characteristics and marital status variables is significant in favor of singles. The difference between the leadership characteristics of the participants and their age variables is statistically significant. Although there is a significant difference between the educational status of the participants and leadership and authority characteristics in favor of undergraduate graduates, we can say that being a university graduate increases the leadership and authority characteristics of education, considering the educational status as a high level. No significant difference was found between the positions of the participants and the dimensions of leadership and authority. There was no significant difference between leadership and authority dimensions and income variables.
