It is an important to be aware of past experiences, past cultures and archaeological findings to understand the psychopathology of daily life. One of the most important arts from the past is the mosaic art where small, three-dimensional and nonidentical parts are brought together to form a picture or figure. The Romans had made the most beautiful ones which were first tried by Sumerians five thousand years ago and sheds light from the ancient ages to the current time. A skeleton and accompanying figures depictured in the three-piece floor mosaic was found incidentally during the excavations in Antiocheia the ancient city of Antioch in 2016, have attracted considerable interest. That mosaic of the Roman belongs to the third century AD. It can be seen the skeleton with streched legs that hold a glass of wine with the left hand, put it's right hand over the head, also had a pot of wine and bread at the right side. The scripture can be translated as ΕΥΦΡΟΣΥΝΟΣ (euphrosynos) or "cheerful" had written at the top of the mosaic. In this article, the mosaic of skeleton and images on it was tried to be evaluated psychoanalytically in the frame of death and life instict despite the possibility of misrepresenting their true meaning and underlying motivation.
