In this study, it was examined the views related to marriages and marital lives of individuals who have married with one spouse for a long time. This study was made with 6 female and 6 male participants who have different durations of marriages change between 30 and 63 years (mean is 42 years). The data of the study were obtained with semi-structured interviews made with the participants. Totally twelve questions examined the marriages and marital lives were directed to the participants. Interviews took 50-55 minutes on average and were recorded professionally. The data of the study were achieved by the way of qualitative analysis of these records and examination with content analysis method. When the views of the participants were considered, it was seen that the answers grouped under four main categories. These are (a) marriage perception, (b) problems experienced in marriages and solution approaches, (c) the reasons of took a long time marriages, and (d) ideal partner specialities in maintaining marriages. At the end of the analysis of the data, it become evident that 20% of participants see marriage as a home, 17.9% see marriage as a way of having children. The problems experienced in marriages were solved by 26% of participants with not to being offended and by 19.2% of participants with giving a present. According to the views of the participants who have married for over o period of 40 years on average, being respectful to one another (13.8%), seeking happiness in your spouse (10.3%), and being loyal to the family are the reasons of their long time marriages. The results show that incurred meaning to the marriage, selections of problem solving ways in solving problems, and consideration about spouse have an important effect in last long and happy marriages
