This study aims to identify the main motivation reasons affecting the participation of “Fethiye Race for Life” event which can be considered as a cause-related event and to examine the effects of participants’ motivation factors on their satisfaction of participating related event. For this purpose; it is investigated to find out the influence level of the three factors related to helping motivations (involvement with the charity, feeling a duty to participate and desiring to experience helper’s high) on satisfaction of their participating. Population of the research is composed by 329 people registered to attend the event and after the face to face data collection process on 12th April, 2015 and totally 189 participants’ questionnaires (57% of population) are collected via convenience sampling. The data obtained from 185 valid questionnaires are analyzed by correlation, factor and regression analysis. According to findings, there are positive correlations and effects between the factors of helping motivations and satisfaction through participating the event. This research is considered to be an important study in terms of both evaluation of a cause-related event under the scope of social entrepreneurship and consideration of helping motivation factors for participating a charity event.
