Marriage and family has always been significant issues in all societies. Nearly all societies created their own customs and traditions, which could be evaluated, necessary for the process of marriage and family. As a result of this reason, these societies can be distinguished with their own customs and traditions. Zoroastrianism is one of these societies, which also have nearly 4000-year religious tradition. In this article, it has been tried to illustrate the society of Iranian Zoroastrians’ view on family and their tradition in the process of marriage, such as asking for the girl’s hand in marriage, engagement ceremony, the night of henna, marriage contract, wedding ceremony and giving present to the bride. Divorcement also has been studied due to its relation with family life. Family and marriage have significant position for Zoroastrians because of the way that their religion looks at Marriage and family. On the other hand, it is hard to state that Zoroastrian family life could be protected in the course of time. Some unfavorable factors affected family life negatively all over the world also affected Zoroastrians’ family life negatively too.
