The Çukurova region is in the east part of the Mediterranean region involving the region which extends to Hatay in the east and Mersin in the west and Adana in the center. The area is considered as the gateway of east to west. For this reason, both eastern and western characteristics are manifest in the culture. As Muslim / Sunni, Turk-Muslim / Alawi, Arab-Muslim / Sunni, Arab-Muslim / Alawi, Arab-Christian, Armenian and Jewish people have lived together for hundreds of years in the area, Circassia’s who took shelter in Anatolia, Turks who had been persecuted in Bulgaria and emigrated from Bulgaria coming to Turkey, Turks who had emigrated from Greece coming from Greece to Turkey after the exchange of Greece, the Kazakh Turks who escaped from Kazakhstan in 1950s and had taken shelter to Turkey were also settled in Çukurova. This colorful belief texture has also made the cultural texture colorful. The implementations of the memor?als, celebrat?ons and fest?vals were handled in the study which is done by compilation, face-to-face interview with the source person, analysis of written source. The study that is held on this geography where beliefs live in peace has been prepared by focusing more on the less known of the days celebrated and remembered in the region.
