In this study, it is based on the use of creative drama and creative dance techniques as a method in basic design education to reveal and develop the creative aspects of students. 16 students (8 women, 8 men) taking the Basic Design course constitute the study group of the research. The research is a single-group experimental study. Gestalt design elements and their relationship with each other have been turned into a corregraphy with salsa steps. The theoretical basis of the research was the effective and creative learning provided by the design education with different disciplines and physical experience. Creativity in space design requires thinking of the body and its movements due to the relationship between human and space. In this study, the questions of how to be more creative in the design education process, how a student who has passed from a memorized secondary education to higher education, can gain a researcher approach with personal awareness and how to continue this approach are discussed.
