As it is known, rivers or waterways with general definition play an important role in human life. Both in the past and today, settlement centers, agricultural areas and population potential are concentrated within the framework of streams and therefore the passageways and roads created by them. In this respect, the Middle Kizilirmak Basin is located on fertile land on a large river and its tributaries. The basin has been the scene of intense settlement since the beginning of prehistoric times. A relative chronology of the prehistoric ages of the middle K?z?lirmak Basin, not only of the basin, but also of the prehistoric ages of Central Anatolia, has been obtained through the studies conducted in relation to the prehistoric ages of the Middle K?z?l?rmak Basin. There are some differences in settlement activities in the Middle K?z?l?rmak Basin. The first traces of settlement are found in Kayseri, K?r?kkale and Nev?ehir regions of the basin during the Paleolithic age.
