Narratives are linguistic realizations that have layers of meanings, knitted by a certain narrator within a certain framework, with elements such as person, space and time. These significant structures have been examined by various methods from past to present. One of these methods is to examine the narratives from a semiotic perspective. Semiotics has become a discipline used in the analysis of literary works as a field that presents consistency in its own approach to semantics, its approach to meaningful structures and it examines the formation of narrative within the framework of a certain method and the meaning formed by the narrative. In this study, Murathan Mungan's story named "Çarp??ma" is examined from the semiotic analysis structures in terms of narrative program and the actant schema. Before this study, the actants schema and narrative programme were explained and then the story was sectionalised and divided into different sections. While sectionalising, the stages of narrative syllabus that are actions, acquisitions, performance and sanctions were determined as criteria. The modal structures in the story examined in terms of these four sections were also emphasized and the transformation of the subject from the narrators was explained.
