Both in terms of form and used narrative techniques, Beyaz Kale introduces a varying structure than the former novels written by OrhanPamuk. In the novel, which is a combination of historical facts and fiction, an Ottoman Hodja and Venetian slave's encounter, interaction and the interchange of their lives and moving into a new life is narrated. The story in question is used as an occasion so that research questions such as East-West, identity, alterity can be processed in the novel. However, the essential point that brings the quality of being literary text to Beyaz Kale is the narrative techniques which are used to demonstrate these research questions. This study aims to reveal the narrative techniques used in the novel and how these techniques contribute to the aim of the author.
