A rapid increase in student population and explosion has begun to take place especially in Anatolian cities with the initiative of establishing a university in each city after the 2000s. Cities are studentificated at the same rate. This large student population has revealed housing problems in cities that are caught unprepared for housing supply in line with the need for shelter and alternative housing supply forms and formsations have begun to show itsel. "Apart" is one of these. The aim of this research is to put forward "Apart" as a form of housing supply and to define by scrutinizing with spatial characteristics, usage characteristics, preference reasons on students' subjective preferences and evaluations as a method of sheltering of studentif?cation cities in the literatüre. With its increasing number of students U?ak University and U?ak City which is one of the prominent examples of studentif?cation cities where the university is located in were chosen as the samples. A total of 348 "apart" user students were reached and a questionnaire was applied by an individual interview according to easy sampling method. As the result of the research, the indicators that define and characterize the apart as a form of housing supply have been obtained. As there was no previous work done in this area, the research results are presented as references to other studies as original and pioneer model.
