This study aimed to investigate how primary and secondary school students construct their digital profiles on Facebook. Study participants consisted of 353 5th-12th grade students attending school during the 2014-2015 academic year. The study instrument developed by the researchers consisted of (a) “Personal Information Form” to gather data about students' demographics, technology ownership, and technology usage, and (b) “Digital Identity Creation on Facebook Form” in order to investigate to what purposes they use Facebook, how they create their Facebook profiles, and which privacy features of Facebook they consider while creating their digital profiles. Frequencies and percentages were used to summarize the data and chi-square test was conducted to examine whether there is a significant difference among participants based on their demographic information. Out of 349 participants, 72.8% have Internet access at home. Of the students who have Facebook account, use Facebook actively every day, and learned how to use Facebook by themselves. Majority of students reported that only their Facebook friends can see their posts and leave a comment on their posts, therefore, everybody can see their photos. Finally, chi-square test concluded that there was a significant difference among participants based on the frequency of Facebook use
