This study aims to address cultural transfers from the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens into the Turkish translation by Nihal Ye?inobal?. The original work was published worldwide in the field of children's literature. In the analysis carried out within the context of the cultural transfer, the preferences of the translator in the translation process were evaluated. In this context, some findings were made in the translated work such as cultural elements, intercultural interaction, cultural transfer and cultural translation approach. In order to disclose these findings, the cultural elements in the translated work were analyzed. Among the cultural elements studied in the translation are the addresses used in daily conversations, place names, titles, person names, state and nation names, idioms, proverbs, religious, historical and artistic elements and the preferences of the translator in similar elements during the translation process were dealt with.
