Many artists have contributed to the development of this form. Magic realist novels are quite different from the traditional fictional types in terms of both form and content and also of the relationship between novels and novelists. Unlike the traditional novel, it has such frequently used features as fragmentation instead of wholeness, novelists’ entering into and going out of the fictional worlds whenever they want instead of telling the story in one way; the possibility of characters going around different worlds, using literary arts like pastiche, irony and intertextuality. Magic realism is rather rich in terms of form and content because it is a mixture of different fictional trends and narratological levels.
