Divan poets give information about understanding of their own poetry and poets in their works based on their tradition. Therefore, divan poet’s view on beauty and his definition of "true poetry and poets" can give us clues about his poetics. It is not possible to say that there is seperate poetics for all of divan poets. However, Every poets differ from each other because of the way of using vocabularies. One of the 19th century poets, Osman Nevres, expressed his perspective of “beauty, poem, poet” in his Divan. In this article, the poetics of Osman Nevres will be analyzed.
