The state of war between Ottoman Empire and Spain has placed with friendship and commercial relations after the peace agreement in 1782. In order to increase her commercial relations with Ottoman Empire and to make her Russian trade cheaper and faster, Spain demanded to involve to the Black Sea trade. After this demand, negotiations were began between the two parties and were continued for 25 years. After this process, Black Sea Trade Agreement has signed between the parties. The negotiations held over owing to the distraction tactics of the Ottomans and also the ill-fated process of Spain in the first half of the 19th century. In this process, Spain has authorized to trade in the Black Sea under severe conditions but because there were no legal written document, the negotiations were continued. In this work, it is aimed to exhibit the contents of these negotiations and the events after the signing of the agreement.
