PATRIMONIAL SYSTEM IN TURKISH MUSIC CULTURE AND CHANGE WITHIN THE NINETEENTH CENTURY

Because of the coverage of the great ?ranian geography of the Great Selchuk Empire has been moved into Turkish culture of protection tradition to art and scholarship to be shaped in this geography. This gifts giving which can be defined as a cultural patronage that is patrimonial system has settled in Turkish culture and has becomed a center of attraction of Ottoman Empire for the artists and sciences during centuries. Almost every musical that has taken an important place in musical culture has presented its works to the authorities of the period and determined the standards of living in this way. This system, which has been found in many examples in Turkish music culture, has undergone changes in parallel with the social change that started in the nineteenth century and new forms of gift giving have begun to be seen in musical culture. In this research; reflection of patrimonial system in Turkish music culture has tried to be deal with the related examples and what kind of changes occurred in the patrimonial system in the nineteenth century has tried to be explained in the light of archive documents.
