Political communication, especially in the last 20 years, has gained importance in parallel to both technological advancements and thorough increase of political grouping. Technological advancements has enabled the society and voters to become more aware compared to the past, and this caused political parties to make changes to happen in election programs and in their promises. Probably the most important of these changes is the use of internet and social media more than conventional media in their political communication campaigns. Especially related to the increase in the number of young voters, political parties started to use mass media more for win these to their side. Another most used channel by political parties is local media groups. With local media groups, political parties both giving more presence to their candidates and announce their activities more to the public of the area. This causes the starting, shaping and development of the relation of local media and politics. In this study, how the political parties played a part and represented in local press of Edirne in November 1st 2015 Parliamentary elections was examined. Within scope of the study, first pages of 7 newspapers publishing in Edirne central between the dates October 15th and October 31st 2015 were analyzed through content analysis. As a result of the study, it was identified that presentation style of election news was mostly in positive direction, news were given by bringing statements and promises of party/parliamentary candidates to forefront. Besides, almost all newspapers presented the news coming from agencies or political parties in the same way
