Intense propaganda activities were conducted against the Ottoman Empire during the First World War period. These activities had a great role in “Armenian genocide” allegations. The influence of the allegations on western public opinion affected the supporters of the Pontus Issue. These groups had ability to make effective propaganda concerning to they were subjected to persecutions by the Ottoman Empire in the presence of the western powers through the organizations they set. The news, comments and assessments in the western press about the Pontus events had an important part in these propaganda. In this study, the releases on the British, American and Australian press were explicated in the context of Pontus Issue.
