Popular music practices can occur between religious and secular dimensions of social and cultural changes in just same way as it occurs local and global dimensions in globalisation process. The music practice which is called Contemporary Worship Music defines the forms and styles of popular music in religious space of popular music in specific to Christianity. This paper investigates the sacred popular musics which are produced and consumed for both sacred spaces and everyday life in specific to Izmir Contemporary Worship Scene that consists of Protestant churches in which adopts popular music practices into church services. Concept of scene that is developed and used within Cultural Studies which approaches to popular music, gives emphasis on more broad spectrum of musical activities which include relationship between local and global, geographically mobile, performance, production and marketing. Izmir Contemporary Worship Scene is created by Protestant churches of Izmir which hold Contemporary Worship Style for their church services, have the same repertoire resource and jointly organized events. Popular music practices in Izmir Contemporary Worship Scene are carried out in specific sacred spaces such as churches and church camps in specific times (every Sunday, once a month etc.). Thus, it shows that ?zmir Contemporary Worship Scene is a social system which is created by actors, structures, activities in time and space.
