Political party leaders use many methods and techniques to convince the voters. Media has an important place in political communication. Political parties and candidates reach the masses thanks to the media and can convey their promises to the masses without time and space limits. Although face-to-face communication still has an important place in communication types, it is very limited in terms of the number of people it reaches. Therefore, during the election periods, especially in the general elections, the media has come to a stand where a lot of politicians apply. This study was carried out to reveal how people aged 18 and over who live in the city center of Trabzon about positioning of party leaders in the political communication process. In this research, in which field research method was used, the data were obtained through a face-to-face interview technique with 460 people. Research results; Participants have a moderate loyalty to the political party leader they voted for. Men feel more loyalty to the political party leaders they vote than women. It is important for political party leaders to be knowledgeable and honest in voting preferences.
