This study aims to examine the views of teachers about the creativity. The study was carried out with six preschool teachers. A semi-structured interview, developed by the researcher, was used as data collection tool. According to the results of the study, it was found that creativity is seen as the process of creating an original product and it is an important concept. It has been emphasized that using various materials, asking open-ended questions, doing imaginative work practices, language, game, art, dramatization and creative dance activities support creativity. It has been also stated that organizing the learning centres with various materials, creating new environments support creativity. Finally, family’s lack of knowledge about the creativity, providing inappropriate environmental conditions for the child, exposing to repressive and stereotyped behaviours, exhibiting restrictive behaviours have been stated as the obstacles to creativity.
