Red Crescent Association is an important charity organization which was established in the last period of Ottoman Empire. It served the Ottoman Army, which was in a diffucult situation, especially during the Balkan Wars and Wold War I in many areas such as health care, food, clothing support. Red Crescent Association started its activities in Çorum and its towns since 1912. During the Balkan Wars, especially the Ottoman military need to be dressed in addition to the financial aid has come to the fore. During World War I, the organization completed the settlement of its organizational structure around the Çorum and its suburbs, and continued the whipping round operations.During the war, it was seen that the branches of Red Crescent Association in Çorum and its towns played a major role in sending money and letters as a bridge between the prisoners and their families.
