According to labelling theory; there is a major effect of being labeled on commit crime of individuals. This prosess is working with stigma, exclusion and to reinforce the criticized qualifications of individual. There is also a major contribution to the labeling process of mass media. Individuals who allegedly involved in the crime, has being labelled yet suspect and investigation and prosecution of the person referred to as labelled stages of the criminal justice system. The aim of this study is to investigate the ways in which children are represented in the media in the context of labeling theory. With this aim, it is selected three newspapers with the highest circulation monthly –Zaman, Posta and Hürriyet- between 01.01.2014-30.06.2014 in Turkey. It is examined on news for children in six monthly publication of selected papers and evaluated using qualitative text analysis of related news.
