In the Tanzimat era Turkish novel, Intibah has separated from the other novels in this period in terms of fiction and method of approach. Namik Kemal's position and identity is felt in every step of the novel. Especially, he can’t act as impartial when dealing with characters. This is a condition resulting from the author's perspective on the world and life. In addition to, not having novel technique in the literal sense brings some failures along. Nam?k Kemal doesn’t give opportunity being own to the characters. Intervention by them, he loads adjectives with his comprehension and tries to create a sense which he wants to forward. Readers encounter with Nam?k Kemal’s inspirations rather plot. In this article, we try to analyze objections both to the author’s character and the novel character’s to the author with taking Nam?k Kemal and Mehpeyker to the center.
