It is a well-known fact that some assailant dogs with or without an owners are dangerous for people's safety. In this article, we will examine the question of the killing of the assailant animal that causes injury and death of many people in terms of comparative law. If a person attacked by an assailant animal cannot find a solution other than killing the assailant animal in the context of selfdefense, he / she has the right to kill the assailant animal according to both Islamic law and Turkish positive law. Even killing an assailant person on the condition of not exceeding his legal limits for self-defense is not considered illegal. In this context, the person who has no other means of liberation can deactivate/disarm the assailant animal in order to prevent harm to the life and body integrity of the assailant animal both himself and others. Even according to the situation, the person attacked by the animal may kill the assailant animal. His deed is not considered to be a violation of the law
