Turkey and Russia have a centuries-long history. Despite the disagreement of the past, both of the countries developed lasting friendly relation. This paper deals on Russian migration to ?stanbul between 1918 and 1920 and their cultural impact on Turkish people and Turkish culture. In this article it ?s tried to emphasize the similarities and the differences between Turkish and Russian cultures. In this article it is emphasized about the hospitality of Turkish people towards Russian immigrants. This paper presents an overview of some common and similar structures of Russian and Turkish languages as the result of living side by side. So this paper points out that the influence of Turkish culture can be felt in Russian culture. So as the result of the cultural, social, economic and military relations between the two nations, we can find lots of common vocabularies in Russian language. In fact in this article it is tried to underline the importance of Turkish words which are used in Russian language and it shows the closeness of these two nations.
