?smail Rusuhi Ankaravi –one of the Mevlevi Sheikhes- is famous for Hazreti Sharih ( Saint Commentator) title. Ankaravi expounded Mesnevi that is written in Persian and appealed to a sophisticated section in plain Ottoman Turkish. Thus, Ankaravi contributed Mesnevi to become understandable among the public and Mevlana’s thoughts to become prevalent. This commentary titled “Mecmuatü’l- Letaif ve Matmûratü’l- Meârif” includes verses, hadiths, sufistic expounds, proverbs, idioms and common understandings among the community in conjunction with long descriptions differently from previous commentaries that can not go beyond word explanations and simple constructions. In this article transmitting prophetic tradition of Ankaravi will be studied in the axis of the hadiths that exist in sixth volume of Ankaravi’s Mesnevi commentary and the author’s book “?erh-i Hadîs-i Erbaîn” after a general assesment about his books.
