The report that has been handled as full-text translation in this work has emerged as the result of Dr. R?za Nur’s workings on cities, districts, villages and tribes as the Minister of Health and Social Supports in 1920’s. The Serie of Social and Sanitary Geography which consists of 18 provinces had published at the end of these works. Within this article a valuable work that is not well-known has been translated to present-day Turkish without imparing the original which had written by Dr. ?brahim Edhem in 1925. The main basics of this article is to expose the sanitary and social geography of the province and submit the data of this work to scientists’ and the other related people’s benefits.
Dr. ?brahim Edhem’s work consists of geographic, sanitary, social and financial structure of Province of A?r? for the years of 1920’s with various dimensions of the conditions of the region in six parts. This work submits valuable descriptions not only for Modern Historians but also for Socialists those work on the region. This work enlights the mentioned years beside providing to compare those years and present day. According to the determines those had been exposed in the report it’s possible to see the effects of invasions, wars, migrations and destructions which have mentioned in the introduction of this work. Thus the disabilities and the conditions of 1925’s must be evaluate according to this historical process.
