First lodge of the order of Sanusiyya which is established by Muhammad bin Ali es-Sanusi and which is the most important allottee in the foundation of Libyan State, established in 1837 and branching out in the continent of Africa in a short period, a great order has arrised with millions of members. Sanusi sheikhs who were ruling current Libyan territories until recognizance of Libya by UN on 24 December 1951, had been effective in the establishment process and Sanusi sheikh Idris had been the first Libyan king. Ruling by the Sanusi order until the revolution of Kaddafi, republican period and constitution has announced in Libya after the revolution. In this process, relations between Ottoman Empire and Sanusi Order and Libya loom large.
