Classical Turkish literature is examined, it is seen that there is a religious characteristic in general. This situation shows itself more or less in almost every literary work. It is noticed, that nearly every literary work contains the words "besmele, hamdele, salvele" or the divan poets are routinize to commence their works with praise poems for Allah and the Prophet Muhammad (sav.) when they form the divan. Moreover, many kinds such as Tawhid, Munacat, Na‘t, Hilye, Siyar, K?sas-? Prophets, Forty hadith, Hundred hadith, Thousand hadith, Mawlid, Miraj-nâme, Ramadan-nâme, Feraiz-nâme, Esma-i Husna, Esma-i Nebi, Maktel ve Akaid-nâme are directly related to Islamic religion and history. But as the religious genres in our literature are not limited to these it is also true that many more literary works are waiting to be examined. In this article, we aimed to study a work that belongs to verse tecvids from our literary products which is unfamiliar and make a small contribution to literary researches. This literary work, which is the subject of our study, is a verse tecvid translation from Cezerî thats belongs to Sheikh Sinan Efendi and no work has been done before. In the study, firstly the tecvid issue was mentioned afterwards, information about the life and works of Sheikh Sinan Efendi was given and passed on to shape and content properties of literary work. Finally, transcriptional text based on the critical edition method of the literary work is given.
