This study investigates the first emergence of siyer writing and the reflections of it in the Turkish literature. In Classical Turkish Literature insomuch as in the contemporary Turkish Literature, almost every poet or writer attempts to produce a literary work in this type. When it is discussed in terms of structure, works in verse, prose or in a mixed type of verse and prose; while in a discussion of content, works in various styles such as hilye, miraciye, hicretname, esma-i erife and gazavat-? nübüvve appear. Our study argues out the adventure of the rise of siyer genre in Islamic Literature upon the types mentioned above, and the conribution of the Turkish Literature in it.
