This study aims to analyze the social and economic factors that prevent the adequate medical care of police officers. An investigation was carried out in the autonomous district of Abidjan. Methodologically, the mixed approach was used with the qualitative method through semi-structured interviews which made it possible to collect data from the study stakeholders who are resource persons. A questionnaire submitted to the target population, made up of the police officers themselves and their dependents, completed this method. This allowed us to have the following results: the FPPN care system, the financial constraints it encounters and the problems linked to its operation prevent the achievement of the mutual fund's objectives
